Launched on March 10, 2024, it belongs to the misspelled celebrity meta, the PoliFi wave in which Jeo Boden and Doland Tremp turned deliberately mangled political names into tradable satire ahead of the 2024 United States election.

Origin

The token launched with roughly 4,800 initial holders and an anonymous team, and built its identity on content rather than a single image: a cartoon Tooker conducted mock interviews imitating Carlson's mannerisms and delivery, released alongside AMAs and a large meme library. The legal safety of the misspelling, the same device protecting the rest of the boden family, let the project market a recognizable public figure without claiming any affiliation. Carlson himself had no connection to the coin.

Market history

TOOKER ran with the PoliFi meta through the spring. CoinGecko records the all time high at about 0.136 dollars on May 3, 2024, which against the roughly 970 million token supply implies a peak market value near 130 million dollars; later coverage by Cryptonomist instead cited a peak market capitalization of about 30 million dollars, a discrepancy typical of the era's thin record keeping, and the true figure depends on how much supply circulated at the peak. The token faded as political attention consolidated into the larger boden and tremp tickers and then into the election itself: Cryptonomist recorded a monthly decline of nearly 60 percent into late September 2024, with the market capitalization around 11 million dollars and about 4,000 holders. The decline continued after the election removed the meta's reason to exist, and by 2026 TOOKER traded near 86,000 dollars in market capitalization on Raydium.

2026 revival

On August 5, 2026, the community suddenly rallied around a joke presidential campaign for the character. The account @OGTookerKurlson posted "That's MY future president," which drew over 1,200 views within hours, and the trader @quantJB asked "Tooker for president? What we saying," which drew 9,520 views and dozens of replies including "Tooker's got my vote tbh." Traders framed the moment explicitly against the token's 2024 peak, with one writing "$tooker ATH 129m, 230k rn" and another posting "$tooker too, $boden all over it again," treating the presidential joke as a deliberate callback to the original boden and tremp PoliFi meta. The revival pushed the market capitalization from roughly 230,000 dollars to over 400,000 dollars within a single day, still a small fraction of the 2024 high but a genuine multiple off its 2026 lows.

Cultural impact

Tooker Kurlson is remembered as the media wing of the PoliFi meta: where boden and tremp memed the candidates, TOOKER memed the commentary layer around them, and its mock interview format was among the more genuinely produced content of the 2024 satire coins.
