Nyhrox is the online identity of Emil Bergquist Pedersen, a Norwegian former professional Fortnite player who became a prominent memecoin trader on Solana. He posts on X as @nyhrox and streams on Twitch, and he is among the best known examples of the esports to trenches pipeline that populated the trenches with young competitive gamers.

Esports career

In July 2019 Nyhrox and his duo partner aqua, David Wang, won the first Fortnite World Cup duos championship in New York, splitting a 3 million dollar prize at 1.5 million dollars each, as covered by ESPN and wire outlets. The title made him one of the most recognizable names in competitive Fortnite before he transitioned away from esports.

Nyhrox brought a competitor's cadence to memecoin trading on pump.fun. His X feed documents sessions in that register: on August 10, 2026 he posted "I made $20k trading memecoins on stream today, been absolutely cooking on Terminal lately", a self reported figure, and his August 18, 2026 post on his biggest tracked day drew 1,368 likes and a flood of congratulation replies. As with all leaderboard traders, tracked wallets show realized results but self reported context is unaudited.

By August 2026 the platform itself had embraced him as marketing material: on August 12, 2026 the official pump.fun account promoted him alongside FlippingProfits, traderpow, and 4pfcoyote as "the goats" to follow on the platform's social layer, to which he replied "damn they put me up with the goats". He also runs promotional posts for trading platforms, including an August 16, 2026 endorsement of Pump App citing zero percent fees and crosschain trading and an August 18 post urging followers not to miss a "10x call out on pump app"; the posts carry no disclosure either way.

Public presence

The local KOL dataset describes his persona as meme heavy and self aware, citing his running "two wolves" framing: one side seeking stability, the other chasing riches through memes and hype. His posting mixes profit and loss transparency, trench slang, and gaming culture references, and his esports pedigree gives him crossover reach into gaming audiences that most trenchers lack. His Twitch bio compresses the arc into five words, "fortnite world cup winner & trader", and by his own account he streams trading most weekdays. His X following was about 306,700 in August 2026. Persona color includes the self meme "invest in nyhrox stonks" and a reply guy chorus that calls him "the goat" and "Himothy" after green days.

Controversies

The sources consulted record no specific allegations against Nyhrox. Commentary about former esports professionals steering young gaming audiences toward memecoin speculation is a standing criticism of the pipeline he exemplifies, voiced generally in trench media rather than as accusations against him individually. The contrast with other alumni of that pipeline is the point: fellow Fortnite alumnus Cented posted a claimed lifetime profit screenshot of more than 10 million dollars from Axiom, about 53 million dollars bought against 63 million sold, and drew quote tweet accusations of bundling tactics that hurt retail, a claim and backlash aggregated by Benzinga, while at the scandal pole ZachXBT alleged that former Fortnite pro Serpent helped steal 3.5 million dollars through memecoin scams. Nothing comparable attaches to Nyhrox in the sources consulted.

Cultural footprint

Nyhrox personifies the trench era discovery that elite gaming reflexes transfer to launchpad sniping.
