NET is the ticker for NetNet Capital Management, a verified, immutable OlympusDAO v1 style reserve currency protocol on Robinhood Chain with staking, bonding, a Morpho backed USDG treasury, an RWA desk, and a bundled suite of gambling products, whose price hit an all time high of $1,918.6364 on August 29, 2026, one hour after a bullish post from Ansem to his 1,373,252 followers, before falling roughly 41 percent by the next day.

NET is not, its price chart aside, a memecoin. Verified on Blockscout and immutable by its own design, NET is the ticker for NetNet Capital Management, an OlympusDAO v1 style reserve currency protocol on Robinhood Chain, with a staking and bonding mechanism, a USDG treasury partly deployed to Morpho, an RWA desk that buys tokenized stocks via Rialto, and a bundled suite of gambling side products, all confirmed against the protocol's own verified contract source and its documentation site rather than taken on its marketing copy alone. The distinction matters because the coin's price action reads exactly like a memecoin's: it climbed from about $37 at its early August pool opening to a peak of $1,918.6364 on August 29, 2026, one hour after a bullish post from Ansem to his 1,373,252 followers, then fell roughly 41 percent by the next day. What sits underneath that chart, a real and structurally unusual protocol rather than a bare speculative token, is the reason the coin is worth an article on its own.

What NET is

NET launched on Robinhood Chain on July 16, 2026, when wallet 0xCfBd7e12A0f154a45576a73C1E409200068507B9, in its own first ever transaction batch, deployed the entire protocol stack at once. Nonce 0 of that batch created the NET token itself; nonces 1 and 2 were createPair calls; nonce 3 created StakedNET; nonce 4 created PairOracle; nonce 5 created the Treasury (0x04822Ea321A0DEE6F40656172F29312104855d66); and nonce 6 created Staking (0xB078cc304A0B264C5F3680DC0488954ACcd02E87). All six transactions carry the identical timestamp 2026 07 16T17:32:50Z, meaning the token, its staked wrapper, its price oracle, its treasury, and its staking contract all came into existence in the same sitting rather than being wired together over time. The deployer wallet was funded with 0.005 ETH, about 12 dollars at the time, by a separate wallet, 0xe7e867518C5B3d929CA63622f314FF9Dc60E96f6, shortly before the deploy, an amount consistent with covering gas rather than seeding a treasury.

NET's verified contract source, reproduced word for word by a live Blockscout pull, names it the "NetNet reserve token" and describes "a 5% (500 bps, immutable) fee on transfer keyed to a mapping of AMM pair addresses... transfers to a mapped pair (sell) or from a mapped pair (buy) are taxed; wallet to wallet transfers are free," with minting "restricted to the Treasury (specs/treasury.md §1, sole minter of record)." The interface itself, not just the docs, confirms an add only addTaxedPair function with no removal path, and a guardian gated, one way queueTaxExempt and executeTaxExempt path, matching the protocol's claim of an immutable, no removal fee design at the contract level. Total supply stood at 60,349.327488872 NET at nine decimals in the original pull for this article; the figure grows over time under an OHM style rebase built into the staking mechanism.

DefiLlama's own protocol listing (id 8518, slug netnet capital management, category Reserve Currency) describes NET in language a live pull reproduces exactly: "OlympusDAO v1 style reserve currency protocol on Robinhood Chain. $NET is backed by a USDG treasury (partly deployed to Morpho), protocol owned NET/USDG liquidity, and an RWA mandate executed via an on chain desk that routes USDG into tokenized equities (Robinhood stock tokens via Rialto) held in the NetNet RWA Sleeve. All core contracts are immutable (no owner, no pause, no upgrade)." The listing names DefiLlama protocol id 340 as NET's fork lineage.

The protocol's own documentation site, docs.netnet.capital, styles itself, in its own words, "as a prospectus as a matter of house taste," while insisting "it is not a prospectus, not an offer of securities, and not investment advice... every number in this document is sourced from the protocol specifications and from on chain state. Where the two ever disagree, the chain is right and we owe you a correction." The docs describe a founding shareholder subscription that sold NET at 3 USDG per NET against a day one NAV of about 2.41 USDG, with a 1 USDG per NET floor enforced on chain at all times; that offering "sold out and closed in July 2026." On the RWA position specifically, the docs state: "The fund holds tokenized equity positions in the NetNet RWA Sleeve, acquired through the Real World Bonds desk, live since 24 July 2026... Sleeve assets are never counted in RFV or in NAV, the Treasury's reserve portfolio remains USDG and protocol owned liquidity only." On governance: "There are no owner functions on the emissions path, no parameter change path short of redeployment, and no allowlisted keeper anywhere, every operational entrypoint is permissionless... The one permissioned surface (the trading fee pair mapping) is add only: no removal functions exist in code," a docs claim that matches the add only addTaxedPair function confirmed directly in the contract interface above.

The same docs site's table of contents also bundles in a run of gambling style side products, each carrying its own age gate in the source copy, with eight separate 18+ markers on the page as a whole: a Tokenized Equity Coinflip Desk (COINflip) paid in tokenized Coinbase stock; a Reverse Plinko RWA Desk (SPACEX INVADERS) paid in tokenized SpaceX stock with a disclosed house edge; a Crash Game RWA Desk (MSFT FLIGHT SIMULATOR); a Long Dated Desk and a separate Leveraged Chip Blackjack Desk under the TURBO name (TURBO, TURBO BLACKJACK); a Pooled Distribution Desk (THE BUTTON); a Lombard Credit Facility offering credit against wsNET collateral in an immutable Morpho market (Loopback); a Prize Draw Program whose dividend accrual is allocated nightly by public beacon random selection (WinNET); and a Corporate Ladder Program described as a corporate video game whose every purchase is a real escrowed position (CLIMB, INC.). A separate Managed Futures Desk is labeled in the docs' own copy as a Test Program, margined in a valueless faucet token and explicitly "not a production venue." This is a real, sourced fact about the protocol's own published scope, not an outside characterization: the reserve currency mechanism Ansem pointed readers toward sits inside a wider bundled suite of literal casino game mechanics, wrapped in corporate satire language, that the protocol itself built, named, and gated behind an age marker.

Size

NET should never be described by a single number. A GeckoTerminal pull puts its fully diluted value at about $69.2 million, in line with an earlier range of about $68.55 million to $68.59 million found before it. Its circulating market cap, which excludes staked and locked supply, runs about $5.4 million to $5.7 million depending on source (GeckoTerminal reads $5,423,408; Blockscout reads $5,721,425). DefiLlama's separate TVL figure, which tracks staked NET value only and not the Treasury itself, read about $66.1 million at the most recent pull, inside a volatile band that ran from about $54.5 million to $91.6 million across the five days before it, moving with NET's own price even as the underlying staked token quantity grew every single day in that run, meaning real new stake inflow occurred alongside the price driven swings in the dollar total.

The mechanism behind the gap is straightforward. Blockscout's holder table shows the Staking contract holding about 89 percent of total supply (89.353 percent to 89.405 percent across pulls, the small drift consistent with the OHM style rebase growing total supply between pulls), by far NET's largest holder. Fully diluted value prices all of that supply, staked and unstaked alike; circulating market cap excludes it; DefiLlama's TVL figure separately reprices only the staked slice at current spot. All three numbers are internally consistent descriptions of different slices of the same token, not contradictory readings of the same thing, and the roughly ten percent of supply that trades freely is a thin base under whatever price swings NET's chart shows on a given day.

No team or deployer allocation appears anywhere in the top 50 holders, checked programmatically. Behind Staking, the next largest holders are PoolManager (pooled liquidity across NET's pairs, about 1.3 percent), BondDepository (about 0.9 percent), a Uniswap V2 pair (about 0.55 percent), and RwaDesk, the RWA desk's own on chain address, holding about 0.31 percent of NET's own supply. Holder count ran 6,346 to 6,372 across pulls.

Safety

NET's core contracts show no discoverable owner. Calling owner() directly against both the NET token contract and the Treasury contract, via a direct eth_call against the chain's own RPC, returns a revert with empty data on both, meaning no owner function resolves on either contract, a finding made independently of the protocol's own docs or marketing copy. That matches the docs' own claim of no owner, no pause, no upgrade, and no allowlisted keeper on the emissions path, but it was reached by calling the chain directly rather than by trusting the claim.

No public GitHub repository was found for the project despite an AGPL 3.0 license header carried in the verified source; a GitHub search for netnet capital returned zero results. The identity behind the deployer wallet and the project's X account, @NetNetCap (12,157 to 12,161 followers, joined 2026 07 14, two days before the deploy, bio "Reserve Manager for $NET on Robinhood Chain," location field "Wilmington, Delaware"), is pseudonymous, consistent with house convention on pseudonymity; no attempt was made to unmask it.

One fact was not in the original research for this article and is worth stating plainly, as a fact rather than an accusation: the deployer wallet remains active more than six weeks after launch, and its most recent activity extends beyond the verified core stack. At nonce 148, timestamped 2026 08 30T06:38:20Z, the wallet created a new contract named NetNet Gear (0x621342F15f86fd5620c5141D0cc1A6ceFDaE28eE). The same wallet is still repeatedly calling a separate, unverified, unnamed proxy contract (0x8154e35166f21305AdAc82f95B54De8acD44d23A) as recently as nonce 154, timestamped 2026 08 30T08:29:02Z. This does not contradict the finding that owner() reverts on the token and Treasury contracts themselves; it is a separate fact about the deployer's own ongoing behavior. Whether that satellite layer, the unverified proxy and the new NetNet Gear contract, can touch Treasury assets in any way was not established either way. What is established is that the original deployer EOA retains an active, ongoing, and in the proxy's case unreadable operational role outside the core token, Treasury, and Staking stack, even as that core stack itself shows no owner key.

The Ansem sequence

At 18:33:38 UTC on August 29, 2026, Ansem (@blknoiz06, 1,373,252 followers) posted, quote tweeting @RookieXBT's "$net is so intriguing":

$NET is one of the first coins that is going to be attractive to: • memecoin bullievers • eth defi whales • momentum traders / bridgooors / read the docs [app.netnet.capital] & then go to [defillama.com] & look at how much tvl the early defi protocols got in 2020 / Robinhood Chain will have successful protocols native to the chain centered around RWAs & memes the same way ETH did in defi summer / stake & chill

The two links in that post are worth reading precisely: the first, app.netnet.capital, is the protocol's own shareholder terminal, not a whitepaper; the second is the plain front page of defillama.com, cited as a place to study historical early DeFi TVL growth in general, not a link to NET's own DefiLlama listing specifically.

The price sequence around that post, read from hourly candles on the NET/USDG pool, runs as a timeline. In the hour before the post, 17:00 UTC, the candle opened and stayed at $1,264.46. The 18:00 UTC candle, containing the post itself, opened around $1,486, ran as high as $1,757.71, and closed at $1,713.15 on the heaviest volume hour in the visible window, $813,265. The following hour, 19:00 UTC, printed the token's all time high in this indexed window: $1,918.6364, one hour after Ansem's post. No later candle in the following thirty hours of hourly data exceeded that print. From that peak, price fell to about $1,134.53 by 23:00 UTC on August 30, 2026, an ongoing, still live candle at the time of the last pull, roughly 41 percent off the peak.

A reply directly under Ansem's post, from a much smaller account, offered a specific rebuttal: @SterlingDeskFX (1,385 followers) wrote, "The interesting part isn't the $250M treasury. It's how much of $NET's future valuation is already being priced into that outcome. Treasury growth creates leverage, but expectations create the risk."

No evidence has been found, in either the original research or an independent later pass, that Ansem caused the token's top, called the top, or that his followers were dumped on. No post has been found anywhere in the corpus, searched specifically for that combination of terms, from anyone stating they bought NET after, or because of, Ansem's post and are now underwater from it. That absence is stated as an absence scoped to what was searched, not as proof no such person exists. The all time high printing one hour after a post from an account with more than 1.3 million followers is consistent with ordinary attention driven buying; it is not, on its own, evidence of intent, and the sequence is presented here as a timeline rather than a claim of causation. It is fair to note that the post's timing sat unusually close to a local top and to let the numbers above speak for themselves.

The arc

NET's pool opened on August 4, 2026, near $37, on essentially a single small trade the day the pool opened; no further indexed candle followed until August 19. That day, the token moved roughly eightfold to close near $307.60 on $191,418 of volume, then climbed steadily through the following week: $325.56 (August 20), $462.73 (August 21), $597.65 (August 22), $630.46 (August 23), $636.74 (August 24), $838.79 (August 25). August 26 carried the heaviest volume day in the indexed history, $7.36 million, with an intraday high of $1,619.79 and a close of $1,145.69. The climb continued into a close near $1,448.60 by August 28, then the August 29 session described above, its intraday all time high of $1,918.6364, and the fall that followed into August 30.

Status

Several questions remain open as of August 30, 2026. The docs site describes a 30 day decay schedule for the trading fee, moving from 4%/1% to a pure 5% treasury fee; the exact mechanics of that decay have not been independently confirmed beyond the docs' own summary line. Whether the deployer's satellite contracts, the unverified proxy and the new NetNet Gear contract, have any path to Treasury assets remains unresolved either way. No public source repository has been found despite the AGPL 3.0 header carried in the verified contract, and it is unclear whether one exists under a different name or was never published. The operator behind @NetNetCap and the deployer wallet remains pseudonymous, per house convention on pseudonymity. And the price action described above is, as of the most recent pull, still moving: the final hourly candle referenced was open and updating at the time of the last check.
