On August 29, 2026, GOLD (Trump Digital Gold), a Solana token trading on Trump branding, climbed to a peak market capitalization of $62,899,373 at 02:14 UTC, then to a second peak of $60,454,425 at 03:43 UTC, before collapsing to $265,663 by 03:54 UTC, most of that second drop landing inside two single one minute trading candles. The on chain record shows an insider extraction inside the worst minutes of that collapse: a wallet chain tracing back to the token's own metadata authority moved roughly $744,800 out between 03:49 and 03:54 UTC, the same five minutes as the crash itself, including a sale of 400 million tokens, 40 percent of total supply, split across four venues in one transaction four seconds before that absolute floor. GOLD is unrelated to Official Trump, the earlier and separately launched Trump branded token also covered on this wiki, and carries no confirmed connection to Donald Trump or his organization. ## The collapse GOLD's dominant trading venue, a Meteora pool pairing it against USD1, the World Liberty Financial branded stablecoin, went live at 00:35:12 UTC. The price climbed through its first two hours to a first peak market capitalization of $62,899,373 at 02:14 UTC, then fell back to about $9.9 million within six minutes, a fast partial crash on its own. It recovered and climbed again to a second peak of $60,454,425 at 03:43 UTC, the peak closest to the roughly $59 million figure the analytics account @StalkHQ later cited. Five minutes after that second peak, the price fell almost vertically. A one minute candle at 03:48 UTC opened near $55,944,664 and fell to a low of $515,051 within that same minute. A further one minute candle at 03:53 UTC fell to $268,772, and the very next minute, 03:54 UTC, fell to $265,663, the absolute low recorded for the pool, a decline of more than 99 percent from the second peak in eleven minutes. @StalkHQ's post calling the crash a rug landed at 04:04:08 UTC, ten minutes after that floor, during a small bounce; the price at that exact minute implied a market capitalization near $820,145, higher than the $600,000 figure in the post and far above the true $265,663 low that had already passed. By about 17:30 UTC that same day, roughly seventeen hours after the pool went live, the price sat at $256,883, below even that $600,000 figure and showing no recovery, while the pool still carried tens of millions of dollars in daily trading volume and tens of thousands of buy and sell transactions a day, meaning the token stayed heavily traded even after collapsing. ## What the chain shows The wallet that created the pool and controlled the token's metadata authority moved roughly $744,800 in USD1 and GOLD sale proceeds out during the single worst five minutes of the crash, 03:49 to 03:54 UTC, including selling 400 million GOLD, 40 percent of total supply, split across four different liquidity venues in one transaction, four seconds before the token's absolute price floor. Establishing this took a different research path than tracing the mint itself. Pulling the GOLD mint's own full transaction history ran past 55,000 signatures without ever reaching the token's creation moment, an approach that exhausted its research budget before resolving anything. Tracing the wallets in direct custody of the token's own metadata authority, a designation read directly from Solana's Digital Asset Standard record for the mint, worked instead, because those wallets are small and tractable: 15 total signatures for the first wallet in the chain, 52 for the second. At 23:48:27 UTC, forty six minutes before the pool existed, the wallet Solana's Digital Asset Standard lists as the mint's metadata authority transferred its entire holding, the full 1,000,000,000 GOLD supply, to a new wallet. By the time that second wallet acted again, at 00:35:12 UTC, the exact minute the pool was created, its balance had already fallen to 800,000,000 GOLD and 10,000 USD1; where the other 200,000,000 GOLD went in the intervening forty six minutes, across four transactions, was not traced in this research. At that same moment it deposited 400,000,000 GOLD and the 10,000 USD1 into the newly created pool as its initial liquidity, consistent with a roughly $10,700 funding estimate at that morning's SOL price, leaving it holding a separate 400,000,000 GOLD outside the pool. During the crash itself, the same wallet acted twice more. At 03:49:31 UTC it received $644,642.03 in USD1 into its own account while its GOLD balance held flat at 400,000,000, consistent with a claim on the pool's trading fees rather than a token sale; twenty three seconds later, at 03:49:54 UTC, its entire USD1 balance, $644,694.07, moved back out to zero, to a destination not traced further in this research. At 03:52:23 UTC the wallet's remaining 400,000,000 GOLD, the portion held outside the pool, moved by a plain transfer, not a swap, to a brand new wallet whose GOLD account was created in that same transaction. Ninety three seconds after that, at 03:53:56 UTC, four seconds before the absolute floor candle above, the new wallet executed a single aggregated swap selling the entire 400,000,000 GOLD across four separate liquidity venues in one transaction: the dominant pool itself, a second DAMM v2 route, a DLMM pool, and a second GOLD/SOL Meteora pool (see below). Net proceeds after a swap commission came to about 965.24 SOL, worth roughly $100,200 at the SOL price available at research time; the wallet's GOLD balance afterward was zero, nothing held back. Added to the $644,642 in USD1 that left the custody wallet twenty three seconds after arriving, the directly traced extraction from this wallet chain during the crash comes to roughly $744,800, executed entirely between 03:49 and 03:54 UTC, inside the single worst five minutes of the token's life. That sale landed four seconds before the absolute floor candle above, inside an already sharp, multi wallet, multi pool crash; it is recorded here as a coincidence in time, not as proof the sale alone caused the floor, since numerous other wallets were also buying and selling in the same illiquid minutes. Press coverage published the same day, independent of this wallet trace, described a wider pattern at a similar order of magnitude. Yahoo Finance and crypto.news, both citing on chain analytics, reported that the token's developer held 600 million GOLD, and that 15 newly created wallets spent $18,657 to acquire another 224.5 million tokens, together 82.45 percent of total supply, which was then sold as a block for figures reported between $330,000, per Yahoo Finance and TradingView, and $1.01 million, per crypto.news; Cointelegraph, CryptoPotato and Coinpedia carried same day coverage of the collapse as well. Those totals describe a larger combined position than the 400 million tokens and $744,800 traced above and do not fully reconcile with it; the gap may include the 200 million GOLD that left the custody wallet before the pool even opened, and a separate cohort of 15 sniper wallets not independently traced in this research. Read together, the two findings corroborate the same underlying pattern, concentrated insider holdings sold during or after the crash, without agreeing on one combined number. ## The rug question @StalkHQ characterized the crash as a rug pull, posting that GOLD "got rugged," having dumped from a roughly $59 million market cap to $600,000; the post reached 169,573 views, 674 likes, 41 retweets, 75 replies and 40 quotes. The mint and freeze authorities were renounced before launch, and the pool never emptied; trading continued for at least twelve hours afterward, so this was not a classic liquidity pulled rug in the literal sense. What the chain does show is a large, identifiable holding tracing to the token's own metadata authority wallet, sold through the market, not withdrawn as liquidity, in the worst minutes of the crash, described above. The dominant USD1 pool named above is not the only venue trading this mint, though it dominates by far. At least twenty distinct pools trade GOLD: the USD1 pool holds $68,711.93 in reserves, a second GOLD/SOL Meteora pool (the same one part of the 03:53:56 UTC sale routed through) holds $21,496.97, and eighteen further pools each hold between $8 and $1,627. That pattern, a swarm of small copy pools spun up around a viral token by bots and arbitrageurs, is common around fast moving Solana launches and is not evidence anyone was deliberately hiding a second venue. Read against the wallet chain above, the picture is not simply diffuse, multi wallet mania with no dominant actor. A concentrated insider position, traced to the token's own metadata authority, was dumped at the exact bottom of the crash, on top of and partly alongside the broader scramble of smaller buyers and sellers visible in the trade data. ## The wallet that was blamed @StalkHQ separately singled out a specific wallet in a follow up post, saying it had round tripped more than $88,870 from another Solana token into GOLD and was now worth less than $8,000; that post reached 215 likes and 56,720 views. The wallet StalkHQ publicly named bought into GOLD four times between 03:29 and 03:52 UTC and never sold; its entire GOLD position, still worth roughly $2,500 today, sits unsold in the same wallet. On this record it is a buyer caught in the crash, not a cause of it. The buy only pattern holds across the wallet's entire transaction history, 228 signatures reaching back to April 2026, not just its trades in GOLD: every transaction the wallet has ever made is an increase in holdings, never a decrease. ## The Trump question The token's own on chain metadata carries no evidence tying it to Donald Trump, the Trump Organization or World Liberty Financial: Solana's Digital Asset Standard record for the mint lists zero creators and empty links, with no external site or social account embedded in the metadata itself. Its own art carries C2PA provenance metadata identifying it as AI generated, tagged to a "Gemini Flash" model version labeled "nano banana 3" and coded under the industry standard designation for media generated entirely by AI, not authentic Trump Organization or Official Trump imagery. A promotional connection did exist outside the mint's own metadata, and it matters to the story. A verified badge X account, @realtrumpcoins1, with 42,300 followers per Yahoo Finance's reporting, carried a bio claiming to be an "Official partner of the Trump Organization" and posted promoting this exact token, directing readers to buy GOLD at a site called realtrumpcoins.com, before deleting the post as the price collapsed. Yahoo Finance reported that Donald Trump's own X account followed @realtrumpcoins1; a follow is not itself an endorsement or an affiliation, and it is reported here as the bare fact it is. Yahoo also reported that RealTrumpCoins' own site carries a disclaimer stating its products "are not manufactured, distributed or sold by the Trump Organization." No confirmed statement from Donald Trump, the Trump Organization or World Liberty Financial specifically about GOLD was found in this research. A widely circulated quote from Eric Trump, calling an unauthorized Trump branded coin launch "absolutely not true" and "a fraud," has been recycled by press as general context for tokens like this one. It is dated August 22, 2026, a full week before this token's pool even existed, and is not a response to GOLD specifically; it should not be read as one. ## Who was caught slingoor (@slingoorio) posted about GOLD three times in real time, all before the first 02:14 UTC peak. At 01:43:46 UTC: "what is this trump gold thing... bought .5 sol of it lmao." At 02:06:59 UTC: "bought 20 sol of this possibly larp gold coin... going to bed." A minute later, at 02:07:41 UTC, a warning to followers: "i do not recommend doing this... if not, then you lost everything. be CAREFUL." No later post confirming whether he sold, held, or lost money on GOLD specifically was found in this research; the search for a follow up was bounded, not exhaustive, so that absence should not be read as a clean confirmation that no such post exists. ## Disambiguation At least five other tokens carried Trump linked gold branding within about two hours of this one's launch, none connected to it beyond the shared idea. A separate Solana mint, A75wbJLV62QLnQXrnwxY9Us1VdoTTjtNFc616V2Mh5L5, also named itself Trump Digital Gold (rendered with a trailing invisible character) and trades as GOLD paired against SOL; it graduated its own bonding curve at 02:24:23 UTC, squarely between the subject's two peaks, and sat at roughly $69,884 fully diluted at a fresh pull, far below the subject's tens of millions. Two tokens both called Trump Gold and paired against WETH launched on Robinhood Chain within the same window, at contract addresses 0x7bE7e3FFCc80D6B360Ede5F9f007d08F0Ece7777 and 0x7F19728e2C223AE98020E3DF6bE48b92f70A7777, created at 00:50:56 and 00:49:10 UTC respectively; each sat around $4,233 fully diluted at a fresh pull. Two more, also both called Trump Gold, launched on Solana within minutes of the subject's own pool: one via LaunchLab, mint 4Fy7i3ZN5VnM9q79feeWFhnzwT83WZxe78qdxNUFbonk, paired against USD1, created 00:49:04 UTC, around $2,059 fully diluted; the other via pump.fun, mint BFKtJXyWaP881vuUf69jAybZGoYn94PENsqiobhCpump, paired against SOL, created 00:48:47 UTC, around $2,908 fully diluted. None of the five approached the subject's peak, and all launched close enough in time to read as copycats racing an already trending narrative rather than one coordinated operation. A separate, unrelated coin, $XAU on BNB Smart Chain, also trades under a gold theme; it is a different project on a different chain, has no naming collision with Trump Gold branding, and is excluded from this article entirely. ## Status Several threads remain open. Where the 200,000,000 GOLD that left the custody wallet before the pool opened went was not traced. Where the $644,694.07 in USD1 that moved out of that same wallet twenty three seconds after arriving went was not traced. Whether the wallet's original 400,000,000 GOLD liquidity deposit was ever withdrawn from the pool afterward was not checked. The 15 wallet, $18,657 sniper pattern press describes was not independently traced against the wallet chain above. And whether slingoor sold, held, or lost money on GOLD specifically remains unconfirmed either way. As a same day case study, the gap between the "rugged" characterization and what the wallet chain actually shows, insider distribution into a thin, fragmented order book rather than a literal liquidity pull, is a real world example for readers working through How to Spot a Rug Pull. ## References * X post by @StalkHQ (rug call): https://x.com/StalkHQ/status/2093550241190740337 * X post by @StalkHQ (wallet callout): https://x.com/StalkHQ/status/2093556398898782357 * X post by @slingoorio (first post): https://x.com/slingoorio/status/2093514915931664485 * X post by @slingoorio (second post): https://x.com/slingoorio/status/2093520760681722318 * X post by @slingoorio (third post): https://x.com/slingoorio/status/2093520937274478967 * Solana mainnet RPC: https://api.mainnet-beta.solana.com * GeckoTerminal, GOLD/USD1 pool page: https://www.geckoterminal.com/solana/pools/Hw5DkpbhbUd7QXj5syiShyPsYCpRCzbz2Vu433mdWEnU * GeckoTerminal, GOLD/USD1 pool minute OHLCV: https://api.geckoterminal.com/api/v2/networks/solana/pools/Hw5DkpbhbUd7QXj5syiShyPsYCpRCzbz2Vu433mdWEnU/ohlcv/minute * GeckoTerminal, GOLD token pools list: https://api.geckoterminal.com/api/v2/networks/solana/tokens/EMWtbpHaNqMbjUMZguuazhuZUVLWG3z4C5oZnGJPSqxS/pools * DexScreener, GOLD/USD1 pair page: https://dexscreener.com/solana/hw5dkpbhbud7qxj5syishypsycprczbz2vu433mdwenu * DexScreener API, GOLD token: https://api.dexscreener.com/latest/dex/tokens/EMWtbpHaNqMbjUMZguuazhuZUVLWG3z4C5oZnGJPSqxS * Solscan, the exculpated wallet (reader link): https://solscan.io/account/EmxhsE5eJF6TZ8XJy7hjizjpACirUqpwFGkK4E2euZMP * Solscan, mint metadata authority wallet (reader link): https://solscan.io/account/3pQA1ZCaAuFgVJPmkxUGhBaDQjRpt88CXaXmoVy3fRsr * Solscan, pool funding and custody wallet (reader link): https://solscan.io/account/3odTMNgv5ViWXYoiZCwXuMbk8FTdJkpwvEHJfosuATos * Solscan, crash window extraction wallet (reader link): https://solscan.io/account/EGFNw45CbvLeGaJm9QXy1uKRjPLfuqcqAMvVpZnub2U5 * Yahoo Finance, Trump Digital Gold crashes 98 percent: https://finance.yahoo.com/markets/crypto/articles/trump-digital-gold-crashes-98-061110056.html * crypto.news, GOLD token crashes 99 percent after Trump linked post, $1M dump: https://crypto.news/gold-token-crashes-99-after-trump-linked-post-1m-dump/ * DexScreener API, copycat Trump Digital Gold (Solana, graduated): https://api.dexscreener.com/latest/dex/tokens/A75wbJLV62QLnQXrnwxY9Us1VdoTTjtNFc616V2Mh5L5 * DexScreener API, copycat Trump Gold (Robinhood Chain, first): https://api.dexscreener.com/latest/dex/tokens/0x7bE7e3FFCc80D6B360Ede5F9f007d08F0Ece7777 * DexScreener API, copycat Trump Gold (Robinhood Chain, second): https://api.dexscreener.com/latest/dex/tokens/0x7F19728e2C223AE98020E3DF6bE48b92f70A7777 * DexScreener API, copycat Trump Gold (Solana, LaunchLab): https://api.dexscreener.com/latest/dex/tokens/4Fy7i3ZN5VnM9q79feeWFhnzwT83WZxe78qdxNUFbonk * DexScreener API, copycat Trump Gold (Solana, pump.fun): https://api.dexscreener.com/latest/dex/tokens/BFKtJXyWaP881vuUf69jAybZGoYn94PENsqiobhCpump
