trading_axe is a pseudonymous trader and poster on X, best known as the other half of the exchange with [[Andrew Tate]] that coined the word "retardio." For years he signed his posts with a "Remilio" tag, and when he dropped that tagline under a Tate post in January 2024, Tate's mocking reply mangled it into the word that named the [[retardio]] coin and became general trench slang. He posts under the display name "ً" and the in house persona "Dr. Axius," with a bio reading "BILLIONAIRE. UNDEFEATED FIVE TIME CT CHAMP." and about 154,000 followers as of July 2026. In August 2026 [[pump.fun]] airdropped him more than 65 percent of the $AXE creator coin supply, worth almost 500,000 dollars, within minutes of him joining the platform's app.

## Origin: the retardio exchange

For years before 2024, trading_axe signed his posts with a "Remilio" tag, a reference to the Redacted Remilio Babies NFT collection, sister project to Milady. In late January 2024 he dropped that tagline under a post by Andrew Tate's @Cobratate account. Tate replied mocking him and, in the wording community accounts preserved, closed with "Retardio or whatever u call urself," a deliberate mangling of "Remilio" that coined the word. One retelling summarized the spawn directly: "A cult spawned from @trading_axe dropping his Remilio tagline on @Cobratate post and Tate responded with 'Retardio or whatever u call urself.' Cult formed, Coin was made, coin mooned today." A variant of the lore holds Tate also sent trading_axe a direct message reading "get my name out your mouth, retardio"; that version is community reported and unconfirmed.

trading_axe leaned into the insult rather than fighting it. In March 2024, as the resulting RETARDIO coin crossed 30 million dollars market cap, he wrote "Retardio was and is a GREAT CT MEME... Forget the origins and Tate trying to beef me." He still uses the coinage himself, replying to a joke in January 2025 with simply "Retar Dio." A trader who bought RETARDIO on day one later recalled holding the position to a 120,000 dollar profit.

## Dr. Axius persona

trading_axe posts under the in house persona "Dr. Axius," with a bio reading "BILLIONAIRE. UNDEFEATED FIVE TIME CT CHAMP." The billionaire branding and self declared champion status are part of the character rather than a literal biography, in the exaggerated persona register common to [[Crypto Twitter]] trader accounts. He remains an active commentator across crypto and adjacent culture under this voice; weighing in on Robinhood's tokenization push in 2026, he wrote "The whole point was to tokenize RWA."

## The August 2026 $AXE airdrop

Within minutes of trading_axe announcing on X that he had joined the pump.fun app, the platform airdropped him more than 65 percent of the $AXE creator coin supply, worth almost 500,000 dollars. The official [[Pump.fun Ecosystem]] account broke the news and stressed "The position remains untouched," presenting the windfall as proof of how pump.fun recruits Crypto Twitter personalities onto its app with creator coin supply.
