Terp is a memecoin trader and tool builder active on [[Solana]] who posts on X as @OnlyTerp to about 52,000 followers. A tracked wallet in the [[kolscan]] ecosystem, Terp works the widest and earliest end of [[the trenches]], entering hundreds of token launches per week at position sizes closer to lottery tickets than allocations, and is also the cofounder of the [[alpha group]] Potion Alpha and creator of the paper trading extension PaperTrench.

## Trading profile

The independent tracker [[KOL Explorer]] classifies Terp as a nano cap hunter. Its August 19, 2026 profile records a representative week of 4,244 trades across 696 tokens with an average trade size of about 85 dollars, casting a wide net across nano cap memecoins at the earliest stages of their [[pump.fun]] charts. The tracked win rate over that week was about 33.6 percent with a modest thirty day loss of about 7,450 dollars, and the profile describes the wallet as high noise but high alpha, more useful as a radar for what is being tried than as a model portfolio. On the live kolscan daily leaderboard for August 18, 2026, Terp appeared at rank 39 with a daily profit of 4.50 SOL. ## The Jack Duval feud

On August 9 and 10, 2026, Terp, fully ported into a coin he had been pushing, fell asleep on stream. He accused [[Jack Duval]] of launching a rival version of the coin while he slept and sending it to millions of viewers, yelling in a widely clipped moment "I bought 4 of these and while im unconcious you launched one and sent it purposely to millions! I hate you", and then challenged Duval to a bare knuckle boxing match. CT begged for the fight, with one account posting "I would pay a ridiculous amount of money to see the @jackduval vs. @OnlyTerp exhibition boxing match" and another framing the clip as what vamping was doing to the trenches; Duval laughed the challenge off. Terp's post feud catchphrase became "The devil is real & he corrupts the hearts of men everyday".

## Slump and honesty arc

Terp narrated his 2026 slump in public. On July 14 he wrote "What happened to terp? The truth is I made a ton of mistakes back to back & they caught up with me", and on August 12, "Why doesn't the community reward honesty & transparency? I feel like everytime I do the right thing morally I just get punished financially". Critics attack the model itself, with exitliquid1ty telling him "you have a fucking casino badge... you are literally promoting a disgusting industry", a criticism by that account, while defenders note that he bids, posts a thesis, and sells on a single public wallet.

## Persona

The local KOL dataset from January 2026 describes Terp as an energetic, community focused personality who mixes trading experiences with market commentary and hype around upcoming content. The account posts in the standard register of the leaderboard generation, oriented toward audience as much as execution. He turned 31 on August 15, 2026, posting "31 feels good", with [[orangie]] wishing him happy birthday and calling him "my goat". Away from the charts he is a prolific AI tooling tinkerer who publishes prompt caching fixes, an UltraCode model shim, and built Caduceus for Nous Research's Hermes Desktop.

## Significance

Terp is cited as a representative of the volume floor of tracked trading: the tier of wallets whose activity supplies much of the early liquidity that snipers and flippers trade against.
