Redacted Remilio Babies is a collection of 10,000 generative anime styled profile picture NFTs on Ethereum, created by Remilia Corporation and illustrated by artist Ulenka Pachinko, credited under Remilia's "post authorship" model to multiple contributors including [[Charlotte Fang]] and Michael Dragovic. It is the direct sister collection to [[Milady]], built by the same team on the same algorithmic design framework but flipping the gender and tone: masculine, financial and adolescent where Milady reads as feminine and pure. Its lasting importance to [[the trenches]] is linguistic rather than financial. Trader trading_axe's years long habit of tagging his posts "Remilio" is the thing Andrew Tate mocked and mangled into "retardio" in a viral January 2024 exchange, a word that became one of the trenches' most reused pieces of vocabulary and spawned the [[retardio]] coin.

## Origin

Remilio builds on an earlier informal Milady derivative made by a Remilia member known as FODKORP, of the 3DTestosterone.net project. Minting opened August 11, 2022, roughly three months after the May 2022 Charlotte Fang and Miya controversy that gutted [[Milady]]'s price and reputation (see that article), making Remilio's launch a deliberate comeback move by the same controversial team rather than a clean break. The community run Remilia wiki records a 0.125 ETH mint price and a January 19, 2023 sellout; a separate market summary instead cites an initial mint price of 0.10834 ETH, a discrepancy the sources do not resolve.

Remilia's own materials describe the collection as channeling "youthful J.I.T. energy, schizophrenic reactionary aesthetics, and digital sales terrorism," positioned as the masculine counterpart to Milady's "feminine aesthetic of spiritual purity," built around "aspirational finance culture, internet reactionary humor, and adolescent irreverence," with luxury watch, hypercar and streetwear traits and a "Friends" mascot system. That framing is Remilia's own self description, reported here as such.

## Name origin: the Andrew Tate exchange

Trading_axe had for years signed his posts with a "Remilio" tag, a reference to this collection. In late January 2024 he dropped that tagline under a post by Andrew Tate's @Cobratate account, and Tate replied mocking him, closing with a mangled "Retardio or whatever u call urself." The screenshot went viral, the Remilio community embraced the insult rather than taking offense, and a coin named RETARDIO was live and pumping within days. The wiki's [[retardio]] article carries the full sourced account of that exchange and the coin's own market history, which peaked around 230 million dollars in market capitalization on November 7, 2024.

A separate collection, the Retardio Cousins, a 4,444 piece NFT set drawn in the Remilio style and described by one critic as "clown makeup on Remilio babies," extended the visual lineage further into the retardio ecosystem; see [[retardio]] for detail.

## Community persistence

The Remilio identity has outlasted its 2022 launch window. As of July 2026, pseudonymous accounts still identify primarily with the Remilio and Remilia branding years later: one account with the bio "REMILIA ONE THOUSAND FOREVER... REMILIA BLACK OPS DIVISION... MILADY" posted "REMILIO" callouts to over 40,000 followers that month, evidence the collection functions as an ongoing subculture identity rather than a closed 2022 event.

## Current status

As of August 2026, Redacted Remilio Babies floor price sits around 0.18 to 0.20 ETH depending on marketplace (Blur, OKX and Forbes trackers each cite figures in that range), with roughly 4,223 to 4,231 owners out of the 9,998 minted supply and a market capitalization near 2.95 million dollars, well below its 2022 to 2023 peaks and far smaller than Milady's own market cap.

## Legacy

Remilio is the direct visual and cultural bridge between the Milady aesthetic and the 2024 Solana meme coin explosion. The word it indirectly produced, "retardio," became shorthand across [[the trenches]] for traders who embrace deliberately irrational conviction, and the Retardio Cousins pioneered a loud, self deprecating NFT to meme coin pipeline that later projects imitated.
