Flork ($FLORK) is a memecoin on BNB Smart Chain that reached [[Binance]] Alpha on September 2, 2026. Its loudest promoter, the trader @CryptoTalkMan, has spent a week telling his followers that Binance itself has repeatedly posted artwork resembling the token's own bald doodle mascot, framing the coin's rise as validation. The coin's name echoes Flork of Cows, a webcomic sock puppet character created more than a decade earlier by Brian DiAntonio, whose company holds a registered trademark on the character and whose official policy explicitly excludes crypto from any licensing it grants. The dates on the record run in the opposite order from how the claim is usually told.

## The coin

$FLORK launched via flap.sh, a BNB Smart Chain token launch platform whose own X bio describes it as "Modular token launch infrastructure, built for customization and innovation, backed by @yzilabs." YZi Labs is the venture arm of Binance founder [[CZ]], formerly known as Binance Labs; that backing is flap.sh's own claim, reported here as attributed. The token's main liquidity pool, FLORK paired against BTCB on PancakeSwap, was created onchain at 21:13:41 UTC on August 28, 2026, independently re pulled from GeckoTerminal twice in this research and identical both times. Supply is fixed at 1,000,000,000 FLORK, all circulating, so market cap and fully diluted value are the same figure.

Per @CryptoTalkMan's own account, not independently verified against team wallets, the original deploying team "basically abandoned the project" after an early pump and dump, and the coin bottomed around a $140,000 market cap by the morning of August 29, 2026, before the community, in his words, "CTO'd it." The project's own X account, @Flork_memes, describing itself as the "Official meme page for $Flork," was created that same day, August 28, 2026, and had 1,809 followers at the time it was pulled for this research. Holder count and the token's BscScan contract verification status could not be independently established for this article: BscScan's pages returned an access block on direct fetch, and its actively supported public API requires a key this research did not have.

The coin's market cap moved 5 to 8 percent across a single verification window on September 3, 2026, so it is reported here as a dated range rather than a single figure: approximately $26 million to $28.5 million as of September 3, 2026, 16:20 to 16:33 UTC, across GeckoTerminal and DexScreener pulls taken minutes apart. Its all time high was $0.03201416 per token, a market cap of about $32.01 million, set on September 3, 2026 at 07:21 UTC. Its all time low was $0.00767031 per token, a market cap of about $7.67 million, set the day before, on September 2, 2026 at 13:28 UTC, hours ahead of the Alpha listing news.

## The listing

Binance's own listing surface confirms the Alpha listing independently of any launchpad's celebratory post. @BinanceWallet, Binance's wallet account with 2,858,887 followers, posted on September 3, 2026 at 01:14:45 UTC: "🔔 Pons (PONS) and FLORK (FLORK) were added to Binance Alpha on September 2, 2026. Pons is available on Binance Alpha 1.0 only. Users can now trade both tokens on Binance Alpha as set out above using market and limit orders." Independent press corroborates the same date: cryptobriefing.com reported, "Binance Alpha expanded its token roster on September 2 with the addition of PONS and FLORK," describing FLORK's price action that day as moving "more than 190% intraday" and its market cap as having "briefly peaked at $17 million before settling at approximately $15.2 million" at the time that article was written, well below the $32.01 million all time high the token went on to set the following morning.

flap.sh itself, the launchpad the token was deployed on, posted its own celebratory account of the listing at 14:42:52 UTC on September 2, 2026: "From memes, chaos, and community nonsense to @BinanceWallet. Another Flap born token just found its way onto Binance Alpha. Congrats $FLORK fam — keep drawing, keep memeing, keep being weird." That post is the launchpad's own marketing, not an independent confirmation; it is reported here only as color alongside the two sources above that stand on their own.

## The claim

@CryptoTalkMan (81,361 followers) posted on September 2, 2026 at 16:18 UTC: "OK THIS $FLORK STORY IS GETTING FUCKING RIDICULOUS. READ THE TIMELINE. For DAYS I've been posting about Binance using FLORK. Once. Twice. Three times. Four times. FIVE FUCKING TIMES. CZ reposted it. Binance started posting coded messages and I joked they were literally speaking the $FLORK language. Everyone kept saying: 'Coincidence.' 'Just a meme.' 'You're reaching.' AND THEN TODAY IT ACTUALLY HAPPENED. $FLORK WAS LISTED ON BINANCE ALPHA... I AM NOT SAYING COINBASE IS LISTING $FLORK. I'm saying the TIMING is absolutely fucking insane." The same post claims Coinbase posted the Flork character to its Instagram page, "with 500,000+ followers," two hours after the Alpha listing; that specific claim was not independently checked in this research and is reported here strictly as his claim.

Of the five instances CryptoTalkMan claims, two Binance posts (August 28 and August 31) do depict a bald, minimalist doodle character in the same visual family as the token's own mascot. His first instance is Binance's post at 21:00:26 UTC on August 28, 2026, captioned "How to attract a trader," which shows the character sitting cross legged and holding a phone displaying a Binance app BTC/USDT chart; CryptoTalkMan described it hours later as "fucking FLORK holding a phone with the BTC/USDT chart on it." His second instance is Binance's post at 14:00:24 UTC on August 31, 2026, captioned "More finance. Coming to Binance," which he described as "TWO FLORKS standing on each side of a covered board"; direct inspection shows two bald, colored, more fully rendered humanoid figures unveiling a cloth covered chalkboard in a classroom, the same bald head, dot eyed family as the first post but a visibly more finished art treatment.

Two further posts checked as candidates for his third and fifth claims show unrelated art, a jeweled mosaic and a photorealistic hand, with no character at all. The candidate for "day three," posted 03:00:25 UTC on September 1, 2026 and captioned "if manifestation was a laptop," shows a photorealistic jeweled mosaic of Bitcoin and BNB motifs and candlestick bars, and the same rhinestone treatment applied to a physical laptop lid. The candidate for the fifth instance, posted 12:01:58 UTC on September 2, 2026 and captioned "same hand, better timeline. this time, it's yours," shows a two panel comparison of a low poly 3D hand and a photorealistic hand holding a phone with Binance and X app icons. Neither frame contains any doodle character, and which specific Binance posts CryptoTalkMan actually means by his third and fifth claims was not identified in this research; these were the closest same window candidates checked.

The post he calls his fourth instance is a text only Caesar cipher that decodes to "you decoded this gm"; CryptoTalkMan's own later post describes his link between that post and Flork as something he "joked" about, rather than an actual sighting of the character. Posted at 08:01:30 UTC on September 1, 2026, reading "brx ghfrghg wklv jp," it carries no image at all.

No repost of a FLORK related post by Binance founder CZ was found. A full pull of @cz_binance's post history for the week surrounding the claim turned up four posts, none of them a repost or quote of any FLORK related Binance post; that is reported here as a scoped absence in the sources checked, not a disproof that one exists. No response from Binance to CryptoTalkMan's claims, and no complaint from Flork of Cows, its creator, or the company that holds its trademarks, was found by any route attempted in this research either.

## The sequence

Binance posted its doodle character at 21:00:26 UTC on August 28, 2026. The $FLORK token's main liquidity pool was created thirteen minutes later, at 21:13:41 UTC. The coin came after the post CryptoTalkMan calls its first instance of Binance "using" Flork, not before it. Binance's post timestamp was confirmed in two independent ways: a live pull of the post's own timestamp, and a Snowflake decode of its status ID, both landing on the same second. The pool's creation time was re pulled from GeckoTerminal twice and was identical both times. The gap between the two comes to thirteen minutes and fifteen seconds.

Binance's bald doodle character does not resemble the trademarked Flork of Cows sock puppet in any respect: different head shape, no hat, no yarn limbs, none of the sock puppet's crude proportions. It does closely resemble the $FLORK token's own mascot, particularly the project's account avatar, which matches Binance's August 28 image almost pose for pose, phone and BTC/USDT chart included. Both the doodle in Binance's post and the token's own art sit within the same broad, crudely drawn internet doodle tradition that also produced [[Wojak]] and its many derivatives, a wider style neither side originated.

The @Flork_memes account itself, the one that posted the matching avatar, was created on August 28, 2026, the same day as both the Binance post and the token's own pool. That sequence, the Binance post at 21:00:26 UTC, the pool at 21:13:41 UTC, and the @Flork_memes account and its avatar appearing sometime after, is printed here as the documented order of events. Nothing in the record establishes that the token's art was copied from Binance's post, that Binance's post was copied from the token's art, or that either was drawn with the other in mind.

## The real Flork

The character predates the coin by more than a decade. Flork of Cows, the sock puppet in a top hat, was created by Brian DiAntonio, debuting as a webcomic on WordPress in January 2012 and adopting its now familiar sock puppet design in a comic posted in March 2016. The Flork Company's official X account bio reads "NO CRYPTO/NFTS," and its licensing page states outright: "THE FLORK COMPANY DOES NOT LICENSE TO CRYPTO, NFTS, AI OR ANYTHING WEB3." FLORKOFCOWS is a registered US trademark as of January 2024; FLORK itself has two further trademark applications pending.

The official @FlorkOfCows account, 266,806 followers at the most recent pull for this research, carries the fuller bio, verbatim: "18+ only, please. Gamersupps/cheeky code 'socks' flork@florkofcows.com CEO: @socksagency NO CRYPTO/NFTS." Its licensing page continues, separately: "FLORK, FLORKOFCOWS AND FLORK Socks are pending and/or registered copyrights and trademarks." A related case study describes the company as actively pursuing licensing deals with major consumer brands while explicitly excluding crypto, NFT, AI and Web3 uses from consideration, consistent with the account's own stated position. Independent press covering the Alpha listing corroborates the character's lineage on its own terms: cryptobriefing.com described $FLORK as inspired by "the 'Flork of Cows' webcomic, a series of deliberately crude stick-figure comics that became a meme staple across social media."

None of this amounts to an accusation against Binance, the token or anyone named in this article. DiAntonio is a working artist whose character's name is now attached to tokens he has publicly, repeatedly refused to license for crypto use, and no complaint from him, his company, or anyone acting for either has been found anywhere in this research. He has made no claim against Binance or against this token.

## Disambiguation

Exactly three CoinGecko listed coins share the Flork name. This article's subject is the BNB Smart Chain listing at contract 0xf40592DaACb3e5abf358789F5688C0B4f64d7777. The other two are unrelated: an older Solana project, and a separate BNB Smart Chain contract at 0x09db...4444.

On BNB Smart Chain alone there are at least three distinct FLORK contracts a reader could confuse: this article's subject; the separate CoinGecko listed contract above; and flork.world, a further, CoinGecko unlisted BNB Smart Chain project at a third contract, 0x5fa0...4444, with no relationship to any of the others. Older, separate FLORK tokens also exist on Solana and Ethereum, predating and unconnected to this one. None of the other Florks are the subject of this article; none of the facts above about Binance, CryptoTalkMan, flap.sh or the Alpha listing apply to them.

## The calls

@PumpfunEco, the pump.fun ecosystem's own promotional account, posted on September 1, 2026 at 22:45:17 UTC: "Today, @Poorgoat_ made $60,000 from just 5 calls. He called $FLORK, $FORESKIN & $GPRO, all of which achieved achieved 7x since he called them and earned him someone's yearly salary. It pays to be a good trader, but pays even better to be a good caller." The doubled word appears in the original post. This is @PumpfunEco's own claim about a trader's performance, styled identically to the same account's routine unverified "trader is up $X" posts about other tokens and traders. No independent check of @Poorgoat_'s wallet or trade history against the $60,000, five call or 7x figures was performed in this research; it is reported here only as the platform channel's own claim.

## Status

The coin, the Alpha listing, and the thirteen minute sequence between Binance's post and the pool's creation are all independently confirmed to the second. What remains open: which specific Binance posts CryptoTalkMan means by his third and fifth claimed instances was not identified, so the two candidates checked here may not be the posts he intended. Whether CZ personally reposted any FLORK related Binance post was not found in the sources checked, a scoped absence rather than a disproof. Whether Coinbase posted Flork imagery to its Instagram account, as CryptoTalkMan separately claims, was not checked. Whether Binance's illustrators had any awareness of Flork of Cows or of the $FLORK token when producing the August 28 and August 31 posts was not established either way. The token's holder count, its creator wallet's activity, and its BscScan contract verification status remain unconfirmed. And @Poorgoat_'s claimed $60,000 result was not independently verified against any wallet or trade record.
