## Function

Boop, hosted at boop.fun, is a Solana launchpad that frames every new token as a cult and its buyers as followers, with the tagline start ur cult. Like [[pump.fun]] it launches tokens on a [[bonding curve]] before [[graduation]] to open trading. Its differentiator is value routing through the native BOOP token: platform guides describe half of the 1 billion BOOP supply funding daily airdrops, while stakers were promised 60 percent of DEX trading fees plus a 5 percent allocation of every new coin launched on the platform, terms that [[pump.fun]] offered no equivalent of at the time.

## History

Boop launched in May 2025, created by the pseudonymous NFT collector dingaling, one of the best known NFT whales of the 2021 cycle. The BOOP token opened explosively, reaching a reported 500 million dollar market capitalization and 63 million dollars of volume within its first 90 minutes, helped by airdrops targeted at NFT communities. On May 5, 2025 Binance listed BOOP on [[binance]] Alpha, with an airdrop of 291 BOOP to users holding at least 137 Alpha Points, and the token rallied to nearly 0.40 dollars on the news.

## Decline

Creation activity collapsed almost immediately after launch. Coverage reported 10,877 tokens created on day one falling roughly 90 percent to 1,072 on May 4, with cumulative launches of 22,643 by May 6, described as less than a single day of [[pump.fun]] activity. Analysts framed Boop as evidence that [[kol]] driven launch incentives alone could not dislodge the incumbent's liquidity and habit advantages.

## Status in 2026

The site remains live in 2026 and the platform still processes launches, but DefiLlama data places it far down the launchpad rankings with a negligible share of category volume. In trench usage Boop is remembered mainly as one of the highest profile challengers of the 2025 launchpad wars, alongside [[believe]] and [[letsbonk.fun]].
