B Dave is a Misfits Boxing fighter who launched a creator token during pump.fun's 2025 Web2 recruitment push, cited as an early success before the token fell over 90 percent.

B Dave is a fighter associated with the Misfits Boxing promotion who became one of the named examples of pump.fun's 2025 effort to sign creators from outside crypto into pump.fun livestreaming. Decrypt's December 2025 investigation into creator capital markets identified him, alongside the TikTok influencer Minikon, as a creator the platform pointed to as proof that its streamer token model could work for mainstream personalities. He posts on X as @bdave69, with about 13,800 followers as of August 2026, and his pump.fun token was GAWK, launched with the line "Zero plan. Maximum $GAWK."

Recruitment and launch

According to Decrypt, pump.fun's recruitment apparatus in 2025 offered Web2 creators short term contracts, provided streaming equipment, and promoted their content through paid clipping networks, all built around the launch of a personal token whose trading fees flowed partly to the creator. B Dave entered through this pipeline, bringing an audience from influencer boxing, a scene whose crossover with crypto speculation was already established. His token launch generated significant early fees and attention, which is why the platform and its coverage held him up as a template for the athlete streamer lane of the streamer meta. Decrypt names pump.fun recruiter Jake Hillhouse as the person who held up B Dave and Minikon as proof of concept successes for the platform's Web2 creator pipeline.

Decline

The token followed the trajectory that defined the recruited cohort. Decrypt reported that both B Dave's and Minikon's tokens fell more than 90 percent from highs set shortly after launch, with the economics front loaded into the first days of trading. The same reporting found that most creators recruited from traditional platforms stopped streaming on pump.fun once initial interest faded, and that the platform's September 2025 fee restructuring, which distributed more than 4 million dollars to creators in a single day at its peak, was not enough to keep the imported creators engaged through the downtrend.

Return to boxing

By 2026 B Dave's public arc had come full circle. His X presence is now entirely boxing content with no visible pump.fun activity. A June 2026 fight fell through, with a supporter referencing his recovery and appealing to Misfits president Mams Taylor; he was named among Misfits 165 pound callouts, and fans were still matchmaking him for influencer fight cards as of August 2026. This observed activity places the token launch as a bounded chapter rather than a lasting career pivot.

Significance

B Dave's chapter matters as a data point in the central question of the 2025 streamer meta: whether a token could durably fund a creator career, or whether it simply priced a spike of attention and then bled out. His arc, an outside athlete onboarded with contracts and hardware whose token decayed like any other meme coin once the streams stopped, became part of the evidence that the model rewarded the launch moment rather than the career, a conclusion that shaped how the trenches treated later celebrity and athlete tokens.
